Description

The E+ I Engineer will provide support for troubleshooting, repairing, and designing electronic subsystems. The role will also include maintenance of mechanical systems and support of daily activities at the plant.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain and repair electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment; diagnose and repair equipment as required; engage in preventative and predictive maintenance activities throughout the facility.
  • Inspect and test electrical and instrumentation equipment as required.
  • Install hydraulic/pneumatic, electronic, and other instrumentation equipment.
  • Disassemble malfunctioning instruments and electrical equipment, troubleshoots, and tests mechanisms and circuitry for defects.
  • Calibration of level, temperature, flow, pressure transmitters, and controls; calibration and repair of process control valves.
  • Distributed Controls System (DCS) Knowledge for troubleshooting process controls.
  • Utilization of both excellent mechanical skills and knowledge (pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, power transmission, lubrication, rigging, welding) and electrical/electronic skills and knowledge (PLCs, A/C, D/C motors and drives, schematics) in our continuous pulp and paper process manufacturing environment to achieve equipment uptime metrics.
  • Work cohesively with maintenance leadership and other maintenance crew members to troubleshoot and solve problems, safely and expeditiously.
  • Use a computerized Maintenance Management System for work order tracking and time entry parts procurement.
  • Set up and operate conduit benders, tubing benders, test equipment, etc.
  • Read and update blueprints, loop sheets, and schematic diagrams.

Qualifications

5-7 years of previous working experience in an industrial environment, preferably a papermill.

Working Conditions Include:

  • A considerable amount of walking, reaching, turning, and twisting, bending kneeling, stooping.
  • Working in extreme temperatures, including very hot areas.
