Job Title: Automation Technician
Location: Charlotte, NC
Duration: Full Time Permanent
The Automation Technician will be responsible for the integration, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing programming, and/or installing direct digital control systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Integration and programming of control systems and associated devices.
Maintenance and repair of low voltage wiring, equipment, and devices.
Responsible for the installation of devices, cables, and troubleshooting of low voltage circuits.
Ability to work and coordinate with subcontractors.
Follow safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
Responsible for responding to e-mails promptly.
Responsible for updating and accurately entering information in mobile field technology.
Perform other job-related responsibilities and functions as directed by Management.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
A minimum of 3 years related work experience.
Must have a good understanding of commercial/industrial HVAC controls systems.
Must be able to interpret HVAC mechanical plans and specifications as related to Direct Digital Controls.
Prior controls experience with Siemens, Trane, Carrier, JCI is a plus.
Low voltage experience and pipe bending skills are preferred.
Must have the ability to work well in a team environment and as well as a strong sense of pride and integrity in workmanship, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Prior experience with Microsoft Office products including Visio.
Must possess strong internal and external communication skills.$25 to $35hr + OT
