Summary

The Maintenance Technician will address out of spec processes related to joining technologies such as spot welding, MAG welding, sealing and clinching etc. to meet production and quality targets. 


Responsibilities
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance activities with production
  • Perform jig and fixture adjustments
  • Create fault mapping visualization on HMIs for problem identification
  • Train and teach others – identify the professional educational needs of others, develop formal educational or training programs or classes, and teach or instruct others
  • Train, teach, and support maintenance and production teams during production time
  • Perform weld expulsion reduction activities
  • Audit, revise, improve PM activities on process equipment using CMMS, EcoEmos (SCADA system)
  • Install new equipment, write control logic, and optimize processes
  • Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers or field representatives as necessary to procure replacement parts
  • Write reports, record data or analyze testing techniques, laboratory equipment, or specifications for new controls architectures
  • Research equipment or component needs, sources, competitive prices, delivery times, or ongoing operational costs
  • Organize, plan, and prioritize work – developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
  • Communicate with supervisors, peers, or subordinates – provide information to supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, email, or in person
  • Responsible for identifying and ordering spare parts and equipment for upgrades within scope of  technologies required for the position

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Body Shop Process Equipment
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong Siemens PLC Troubleshooting and logic writing
  • Equipment problem solving and improvement capability – strong Weld Process Knowledge
  • Work individually and in a team
  • Use standard MS office tools (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Rotating shifts – production schedule or maintenance schedule depending on business need
