Billing and Administrative Specialist
Our client is looking for a billing specialist/administrative assistant to join their rapidly growing health services company near King of Prussia, PA. Medical billing experience is strongly preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
- High School Diploma (Bachelor’s preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience with medical billing (direct & insurance)
- Familiarity with HIPAA privacy laws
- Experience with small business bookkeeping including familiarity with QuickBooks
- Excellent computer and technological skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Empathetic and courteous nature as this position requires frequent communication with clients
- Able to accept constructive feedback and have a growth mindset
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Billing Specialist:
- Manage and coordinate all client billing
- Bill clients directly for services and collect outstanding balances
- Communicate kindly and effectively to resolve client questions regarding billing or payments
- Work closely with insurance companies in order to advocate for clients’ out-of-network benefits
Administrative Assistant:
- Assist Program Manager as needed with the following duties:
- Organize and maintain supply inventory, coordinate deliveries, office maintenance
- File management
- Client scheduling
- Coordinate with outside contractors
- Proficient in all Microsoft applications, especially Office 365
- Bookkeeping
- Assist Bookkeeper on as-needed basis
Job Type: Temp to Hire
Pay: $17.00 – $27.00 per hour DOE
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
COVID-19 considerations:
We are temporarily working remotely due to COVID-19 but we will return to work eventually and need a candidate who is able to work in an office.
Experience:
- Medical Billing: 3+ years (Required)
Education:
- Bachelor’s (Preferred)
