Job Description:

Knox Machinery is looking for real manufacturing “ace” with the ability to setup, install, and give basic, as well as, advanced training in all forms of CNC programming.

Should have experience with CAD/CAM and must be able to do time studies, as well as setup and run customer parts and demos on advanced CNC multi-axis milling and turning machines.

Must also be able to assist the Knox sales team in promoting our extensive line of state-of-the-art equipment.

Applications Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating on CNC CAD/CAM/Machine installation projects with the engineering, sales, and customer services departments.
  • Liaising with clients and incorporating user-defined needs and feedback into application designs.
  • Writing code CNC CAM applications, as well as installing, maintaining, and testing applications.
  • Providing clients with technical support.
  • Optimizing applications by integrating new technologies and performing upgrades.
  • Contributing to sales presentations, as well as demonstrating prototypes and completed applications.
  • Documenting development processes, procedures, and application version histories.
  • Keeping up with advancements in application engineering and new technologies.

Applications Engineer Requirements:

  • Associate degree preferred (but not necessary) in CNC manufacturing, engineering, or similar.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an CNC/CAM applications engineer.
  • Previous experience in sales or customer services will be advantageous.
  • Advanced proficiency in programming languages, Mastercam, Solidworks and others
  • Extensive experience in deploying, optimizing, and maintaining software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional customer services and interpersonal skills.
  • Great organizational and time management skills.
