Overview
Job Description
Inside (CNC) Machinists operate various machines (manual and/or CNC) such as; lathes, mills, vertical machining centers, horizontal boring mills, etc. Inside machinists troubleshoot operations and take appropriate actions to correct. The machinists perform quality inspections, verifying dimensions of work piece are in accordance with drawing specifications. Good math skills are required
Basic Qualifications
3+ years exp in CNC/Manual Machining
The candidate must be able to understand written instructions and strong math skills are essential. This is a construction environment involving lifting 40 lbs. numerous times daily.
Preferred Qualifications
All of the following are a definite plus:
- Machinist will set up, program, edit, troubleshoot own machines
- CNC machinist experience in programming, setup, modifying programs, knowledge of vast tooling (Kennametal, Iscar, sandvik, mitsubitishi )
- High speed drilling, milling and turning
- Fryer conversational controls
- Fanuc controls
- Gibbs cam programming software
- CNC Horizontal milling
- CNC Lathe
- Manuel horizontal mill
- Manuel lathe
- Basic hand tools
