You Will

The Inside Contract Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between Grainger and small/medium contracted customer accounts in an effort to expand customer relationships, assess, analyze, and address all customer business and purchasing needs.  The Inside Contract Coordinator is accountable for ensuring that the associated projects are properly executed according to the guidelines as indicated by the customer contract and Grainger organizational protocols. This position will manage account portfolios of customers with a high share of wallet that are expected to generate pre-established aggregate annual sales.

-Leverage phone selling model and process to establish, maintain, and grow customer relationships, within assigned customers with a focus on identifying/exceeding customer needs, relative to Grainger offerings. 
-Translates the agreed upon international/cross border agreement and sales strategy and facilitates execution through the local teams while communicating and collaborating with the Sales Leader and Sales Manager to increase customer adoption and further enhance the customer experience. 
-Works with Internal and external teams assigned to support the international/cross border customer agreement. Their focus is to maintain alignment between the customer agreement and aligned Grainger sales and support teams.
-Coordinate and execute activities, and communication between each account and Grainger’s business departments to achieve outlined business solutions, respond to customers’ purchasing needs and coordinate sales. Present contract benefits to internal and external customers.
-Respond to customers’ inquiries and purchasing needs.
-Fully leverage all resources and technical support provided by Grainger. 
-Use and maintain customer and contact information in Salesforce.com to help guide interactions and share activity.
-Provided backup and expertise to help local salespeople secure a close. 
-Ability to solve open ended complex problems.
-Identify opportunities and manage pipeline as applicable.

The Inside Contract Coordinator is directly accountable to contributing to successful delivery of Grainger’s customer specific international/cross border strategy that spans multiple functional areas, by ensuring the proper execution and adoption is being implemented across all coverage types. The successful delivery of initiatives, programs, and enablers, will contribute directly to achieving the overall effectiveness, achievement of organizational goals and relevance of Grainger to our international/cross border customers, enabling Grainger as their first choice MRO supplier.

You Have

Education
Undergraduate Degree or Equivalent preferred

Experience 
1-3 years of experience in related field preferred.

Demonstrated proficiency/competency in the following areas:
-Planning skills.  Strong time and account management skills.  Must be able to organize customers based on current size and general potential.  Must have a written monthly and weekly sales plan.

Field Based position which reports to Director of National Accounts

-This position requires an autonomous thinker and self-starter that can work in an environment with a great deal of ambiguity, while leveraging the vast resources of Grainger in a field-based position. Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills. Interacts effectively with teammates and business partners. 
-This position provides a vital linkage between our customers, local sellers, and the contract
-This position interacts closely with all functional areas, across all levels within the greater Grainger company and customer, and requires excellent change leadership, driving results through others influence without authority, written and verbal executive communication and conflict management skills.

Approximately Less than 10% of travel is required.
